World Class was appointed by leading brand experience agency, Avant Garde, to assist with the delivery of the spectacular launch of the official Expo 2020 Mascots. Faced with a challenging amount of technical production, our team provided a high level of expertise, experience, and support to the project. Working closely with key suppliers Maestra, who delivered the audio-visual, lighting, and sound, and Atlas Exhibitions, who created the scenic elements, the collective efforts ensured a smooth process.

The event took place at the Dubai World Trade Center on 26th September 2019, and the impressive ceremony saw the unveiling of the official mascots. The lively ensemble includes an eight and nine-year-old brother and sister, Latifa and Rashid, and three robots named Alif, Opti, and Terra, representing Expo’s three main themes: opportunity, mobility, and sustainability.

Marking the first official event for Expo 2020, the launch was broadcast live on Dubai TV. Distinguished attendees included His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, crown prince of Dubai and chairman of the Executive Council.

Through their collective expertise and seamless coordination, the World Class team played a vital role in bringing this significant event to life, adding another feather to their cap in the delivery of large-scale and prestigious events.
